<p>I enjoy making things work. When given an opportunity to improve, repair, or realize the future of a project, I compete with myself to achieve the best outcome. In my previous career as an audio lead in the live events industry, my responsibilities included designing and deploying sound systems, communicating with clients to achieve their vision, and working across departments to ultimately bring a great event to pass. My career in coding is founded on these skills, and offers leverage to guide projects for greater distances.</p><p>My most recent application prominently featured AR, and was an opportunity to see how technologies commonly used in software (3D models, animations, sound design) could be brought into a web application framework. Using React Native and React Navigation for the larger app design was extremely beneficial. This allowed for tracking the user with event listeners to manage resources and screen renderings. Context wrappers also allowed for user customizations to instantly take effect, and local async storage, as well as a cloud MySql server, ensured that those preferences would persist across sessions and devices.</p>
