<p> I am a retired teacher who worked in the New Orleans Public School System. Undergraduate Degrees in Elementary Education , Xavier University of Louisiana and Bachelor Degree and Masters of Music from Louisiana University at Monroe. Regular Education classes ; 1st-4th Grades and Pre-K through 8th in Classroom Music. I have taught Music Appreciation Courses Evening Division at Southern University at New Orleans. I am a member of the New Orleans Opera House Chorus and a soloist for Our Lady of Guadalupe Church/ St. Jude Shrine; The Knights of St. Peter ClaverLadies Auxiliary-Our Lady of Guadalupe Court #394; Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and The Third Order Of Dominicans! Delta Omicron International Music Fraternity ; Order of St. Louis Medallion for Service- Archdiocese of New Orleans.</p><p>I have been awarded a National Teacher of The Year Award by The National Council of Negro Women - 1995 - Created “The Jazzin’ & Quilting Project for Elementary Reading, History & Math this project covered several elementary schools and teachers. I also made a presentation to the U. S. Congressional Committee on Education. </p><p>United States Representative to Disease Experience Expert Panel member @ Novo Nordisk Healthcare /TYPE2 Diabetics- Copenhagen, Denmark </p><p>I am presently tutoring in Reading from my home two nephews and when requested I tutor children at my church. I am interested in returning to the elementary classroom especially at the Fourth Grade level, it has always been my favorite grade level to work . </p><p>I enjoy Quilting, gardening, Crafts/Art and quiet music when I am not on stage.
