<p>My background includes providing high-quality instruction in English Language Arts on the secondary level to students with diverse learning needs, including English language learners, special needs and the gifted and talented. Since 2006, I have been certified in Georgia ELA 6-12. During that time I have engaged in continuous professional development to hone my craft, with an emphasis on literacy development, differentiation and technology integration for the 21st-century classroom. Additionally, I have strong content-knowledge, with a foundation as an English major at Spelman College in Atlanta. </p><p>Recently, I have pursued my interest in instructional design and technology. I believe that the 21st-century classroom is the place to empower all students with the skills needed to thrive in an ever-evolving global digital society. </p><p><br></p>
