Job Description
Description
Torsh Inc., is an education technology SaaS company that produces Torsh TALENT, a secure, online, cloud-based coaching and professional learning platform through which all of the disparate elements of coaching (observation, feedback, goal-setting, goal tracking, data gathering, community building, training and certification) can be organized, tracked, implemented and managed. Our core mission is to improve student outcomes by increasing educator effectiveness and we do this by helping schools and organizations increase educator instructional capacity, improve the delivery of educator professional development, and generate insights into educator effectiveness.
We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Senior Business Development Manager with deep knowledge of early childhood and SaaS sales. The ideal candidate is a strategic, outcomes-focused leader with a proven track record of developing and executing successful growth strategies, cultivating high-level relationships, and consistently exceeding revenue targets.
This role reports to the VP of Business Development and plays a leadership role in expanding TORSH’s footprint across the early childhood education and early intervention landscape. The ideal candidate is a metrics-driven, self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, remote environment and is comfortable with cross-functional influence and independent execution.
This is a hybrid position with periodic in-person meetings and events required, including travel for conferences, team gatherings, and client-facing engagements. Candidates must be comfortable with occasional travel and periodic in-person work.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic initiatives to expand TORSH’s early childhood market presence across key segments, including state agencies, regional governments, non-profits, school systems, and early childhood providers.
- Own the full sales cycle, from lead generation and consultative selling to close, with high-value clients.
- Develop and execute scalable business development plans and account strategies aligned with organizational revenue goals.
- Build and nurture senior-level relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the VP of Business Development to inform and shape market penetration and positioning strategies.
- Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on TORSH Talent, delivering high-impact product demonstrations and customized proposals.
- Partner with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams to align go-to-market efforts with evolving client needs and industry trends.
- Represent TORSH at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to elevate brand visibility and generate qualified opportunities.
- Analyze market trends, client feedback, and competitive insights to inform strategic planning and product development.
- Consistently meet and exceed individual and team sales targets through disciplined execution, accountability, and proactive pipeline management.
- Maintain accurate, timely pipeline updates, forecasting, and reporting through Hubspot CRM and internal systems.
Position Requirements
Knowledge & Experience
- 6+ years of experience in early childhood or K–12 SaaS sales, with at least 3 years in a senior or strategic business development role.
- Demonstrated success in complex consultative sales, particularly with large scale education-focused organizations and/or public sector clients.
- Deep understanding of early childhood education systems, including early care, preschool education, early intervention, and state or regional program models.
- Strong familiarity with SaaS-based professional development tools and platforms.
- Proficiency in Hubspot CRM, Gong, Asana, and Google Tools Suite.
Personal Attributes
- Strategic thinker with the ability to assess opportunity, define priorities, and influence cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with a track record of engaging senior-level stakeholders.
- Relentlessly results-oriented with a passion for measurable impact and performance accountability.
- Demonstrated leadership, autonomy, and initiative in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Highly organized and capable of managing competing priorities with precision.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and data-informed decision making.
- Strong integrity, work ethic, and drive for excellence.
- Collaborative team player who contributes positively to a remote-first team culture.
Compensation
- $110,000 base salary
- Performance based commissions
Featured Benefits
- Stock options
- Flexible hybrid remote work environment
- Unlimited PTO
- Medical/Dental/Vision insurance
- 401(k) plan
