About Make-A-Wish Texas Gulf Coast and Louisiana
<p>Make-A-Wish Texas Gulf Coast and Louisiana has granted more than 11,700 wishes since its inception in 1084. We seek to bring every eligible child's wish to life because a wish is an integral part of a child's treatment journey. Research shows children who have wishes granted can build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight their illness. Our chapter serves 47 counties in the Texas Gulf Coast and all 64 parishes in Louisiana. </p><p>Together, we create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. From our humble beginnings with one boy’s wish to be a police officer, we have evolved to be one of the world’s leading children’s charities, serving children in every community in the United States and its territories. With the help of generous donors and more than 500 regional volunteers, Make-A-Wish Texas Gulf Coast and Louisiana grants 650 children’s wishes annually.</p>
