Position Summary
Under the general direction of the Business Manager and the Department Head of Physiology, the incumbent will provide administrative support for the business office and will be responsible to for assisting the Department Head with administrative functions of the department. The incumbent must exhibit a high degree of professional excellence characterized by sound independent judgement, reliability, initiative, flexibility, and a high standard of ethics along with excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills. Assist principal investigators with grant relation activities, preparing progress reports and compiling grant related support activities. Prepare and support documentation for training grants. Support Department Head’s calendar, travel arrangements, reimbursements. Prepare, edit, and proofread correspondence. Attend and document meeting activities (agenda, minutes, other documents). Prepare and submit expense reports, purchase orders. Coordinate and support meetings, guest lecturers and conferences, both on- and off-campus. Proctor exams, support course directors and guest lecturers.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of work experience
Master's degree may be substituted for the 2 years of work experience
