Born and raised in Greater New Orleans, and a descendant of the River Parishes, I’ve experienced the best and the worst this stretch of the Mississippi has to offer.
My grandparents’ house is where we lit bonfires on Christmas. It’s also where my grandfather died of cancer he contracted from having to work at an oil refinery.
We’re rich in resources. Our culture is world-renowned. And yet, it’s the corporations who reap the benefits while we suffer from poor infrastructure, skyrocketing home insurance, and poisoned air, land, and water.
I’m running for Congress because I believe we can become the greatest district in America, if we elect a fighter for the people, not the corporate donors.
