This program will encourage a therapeutic community, recognize individual strengths, increase self-awareness, and teach participants the tools necessary to maintain separation from the criminal justice system. NODRC seeks to provide participants with opportunities in education, substance abuse treatment, individual and group work, employment, anger management, and other wrap-around services to increase the participants’ ability to be a successful member of our community. </p><p>__________________________________________________________________________________________ </p><p>&nbsp;<b>GROUPS&nbsp;OFFERED EACH WEEK: </b></p><p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Parenting&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Life Skills&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Financial Literacy </p><p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Anger Management&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Computer Literacy&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Addicted to the Lifestyle </p><p>&nbsp; Job Readiness&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Domestic Violence Intervention&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Health and Wellness </p><p>&nbsp;Thinking for a Change&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Substance Abuse (IOP)&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;  Emotional Intelligence </p><p>_____________________________________________________________________________________________ </p><p>&nbsp;<b>REFERRALS TO THE NODRC: </b></p><p>√ <b>FOR PARENTING CLASSES</b>: 9-week course for individuals in need more knowledge of healthy parenting techniques. </p><p>√ <b>FOR SUBSTANCE ABUSE</b>: Clients testing positive for illegal substances or in need of support in recovery will attend IOP classes (Intensive Outpatient Programming) and work with an experienced case manager on relapse prevention &amp; recovery. </p><p>√ <b>FOR OPIATE &amp; STIMULATE ADDICTION</b>: Individuals with an opioid dependence or maintaining their recovery will receive specialized programing and services, increased individual counseling, and connection to medicated assisted treatments. (MAT) </p><p>√ <b>FOR EMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE:</b> Clients in need of a job will work with the Career Counselor. They will attend Job readiness classes; financial literacy, develop a resume, practice interview techniques, access to vocational certifications, and other essential tasks to aid in obtaining a job. The Career Counselor cultivates partnerships with local businesses to increase job placement and job retention. </p><p>√ <b>FOR SUPPORT WITH MENTAL HEALTH</b>: Clients that have a mental illness and need support will be assisted by the case managers to become connected to the appropriate mental health services. Case managers will assist clients with clinic appointments and follow up with medication and other recommended interventions. </p><p>√ <b>FOR INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING:</b> The clinicians at the DRC can provide short term counseling for clients. </p><p>√ <b>FOR LIFE SKILLS</b>: Clients will attend classes to practice cognitive restructuring such as Thinking for Change classes. </p><p>√ <b>FOR GENERAL ASSISTANCE</b>: Clients may need assistance applying for food stamps, Medicaid enrollment, obtaining vital records, enrolling in housing programs. Case Managers provide follow up to ensure the client’s needs are met. </p><p>√ <b>FOR ADDICTED TO THE LIFESTYLE:</b> Clients that have a history of or are struggling with selling illegal substances have an addiction to this type of lifestyle. </p><p>√ <b>FOR ANGER MANAGEMENT CLASSES</b>: Clients will learn how to regulate their anger &amp; emotions through a 12-module class </p><p>√ <b>DOMESTIC VIOLENCE INTERVENTION PROGRAM</b>: This programming includes required 26 sessions and is targeted for individuals that have been involved in family violence. </p><p>√<b> EDUCATION: </b>A certified teacher will provide on-site instruction for individuals interested in HiSET preparation or adult literacy. </p><p>√ <b>TECHNOLOGY</b>: Clients will be able to learn basic cell phone use, basic and advanced computer literacy, and Coding with Apple iPads. </p><p>__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ </p><p>&nbsp;<b>&nbsp;• 819 South Broad Street, New Orleans, LA 70119 • Main phone: 504-493-2156 • Hours of Operation: M- F 8:30- 4:30 </b></p><p>&nbsp; <b>ENROLLMENT CRITERIA: (1) Individuals must have at least 6 months left on their Probation/Parole time, </b></p><p><b>&nbsp; &nbsp;(2) No pending felony charges, (3) individuals cannot be a registered sex offender </b></p><p><b>&nbsp; *All services are no cost to participants, including bus tokens for transportation and a hot lunch * </b></p><p><br></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
