<p>Crimestoppers, Inc. incorporated in 1981 is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit serving a nine-parish region of Southeastern Louisiana. To foster a safe community, our mission is to prevent and solve crime by providing educational crime prevention programs for youth and adults, and by assisting Law Enforcement Agencies, victims of crime and their families, in identifying and arresting criminal suspects through anonymous tips by citizens.&nbsp; Crimestoppers accepts anonymous crime tips from both the general community and&nbsp; area schools in the Greater Metro New Orleans area, passing the information on to both law enforcement and/or schools for investigation.&nbsp; On an average year, Crimestoppers will process over 7,000 tips for investigation.&nbsp; Tipsters may be eligible for a cash reward if their tip leads to an arrest. In addition to the receipt of tips, Crimestoppers will work with victim's of violent crime to help find justice on the open case by promoting their case and networking with the investigating agency for case updates.&nbsp; Crimestoppers also conducts crime prevention programs with businesses, churches and neighborhood organizations and partners with over 50 law enforcement agencies on specialized "crime" programs - such as human trafficking, non compliant sex offenders and fugitive round ups.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>Crimestoppers&nbsp; has been a leader in promoting youth empowerment over crime.&nbsp; Staff work with&nbsp; area schools by providing presentations on various public safety topics, participates in student led public health and safety forums and hosts a student leadership program for high school teens.&nbsp;</p><p>Crimestoppers, Inc. is a member of Crime Stoppers USA and our CEO serves on the national Board.&nbsp; The Crimestoppers, Inc. Board of Directors features a diverse group of business, community and neighborhood leaders.&nbsp; Crimestoppers, Inc. also has a direct liaison with our local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.</p><p>The position we are advertising is related to the statewide expansion of our Safe School Reporting App.&nbsp; This effort is in partnership with the Louisiana State Police.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p> </p><p><br></p>
