Job Description
Do you want to work for an established company with a startup culture?
TurboSquid’s been around a long time, not a long time in recorded history, but we started before the first dot-com crash in 2000 when nobody knew what 3D was. With hard work, innovation, and good timing, TurboSquid became the web's first successful content marketplace, dominating the 3D content space like iStock dominates photography. We’ve built a platform and model for content delivery that has served us well, but the landscape has changed, and the problems are more complex, and our market is growing…we need something new.
Position Requirements
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test plans and scripts
- Design and implement automated UI and API
- Work with all teams to interpret requirements in order to plan, develop, and implement functional and integration tests
- Participate in all aspects of functional, regression, load, and security testing of code written by other automation developers
- Analyze test results and provide progress reports on feature readiness
- Advocate for quality and for allocation of adequate time to test features
- Work with QA analysts, development, and management to ensure automation products meet specified requirements
- Identify, debug, report, and track defects using the company’s defect tracking tools
- Proactively communicate issues, risks, status, etc. to management
- Working on QA centric projects like, reconfiguring repositories, creating tools QA Analysts can use, occasional projects from outside of QA
Additional Preferred Experience
- B.S. in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years of web application QA experience
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle in an Agile environment
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies and practices, including continuous integration
- Experience with automated testing tools (selenium, webdrive, watir, & rspec)
- Proven experience developing and maintaining UI and API
- At least 2 years coding experience in an object-oriented language (Ruby preferred)
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills with a proactive approach
- Love for testing and passion for producing the highest quality software
- Excellent listening, verbal communication, and written communication skills

About TurboSquid
TurboSquid models are used by game developers, news agencies, architects, visual effects studios, advertisers, and creative professionals around the world. Whether you're a 3D artist or not, you've probably seen TurboSquid models hundreds of times and didn't know it - which is fine with us!
Our goal is to save artists the time of making a great model, and instead let them add their own personality to their creations. Our customers tell us they save 27 hours per model purchased, which can be a lifesaver in a time crunch.
TurboSquid's secondary mission is to focus the creativity of artists around the world to continually improve our library of models, while helping the artists who supply those models build a career as professional 3D modelers.
TurboSquid is headquartered in New Orleans, Louisiana in the United States and is supported by the Office of Louisiana Entertainment.
