Job Description

JMH Technology Department is looking to add a friendly and organized IT Administrative Assistant that will assist in the responsibilities of the department Helpdesk, vendor, purchasing/shipping/asset administration, as well as assisting in department reporting, auditing and general office duties. Although technical knowledge can be a plus, it is not a requirement as this role will be more in focused on department administration and not supporting the company technology.


Duties of the Administrative Assistant Include:

Helpdesk Administration - Monitor IT team performance and calendars, create helpdesk feedback reports for management, communicate with employees and providing in-person and phone ticketing (not technical) support, manage helpdesk administrative duties such as answering calls, maintaining accurate ticketing records, interactions, assigning tickets to agents, and following up with employees, manage escalations and scheduling to ensure incidents are resolved in a timely manner.


Vendor Administration - Keep accurate vendor documentation and billing records, assist in choosing technology/ISP/telco vendors, initiate any onboarding or initial account setup, assist in the processing of contracts and invoices.

Purchasing, Shipping, and Asset Administration - Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions for materials, supplies, and equipment, review and process department purchase orders, maintaining records of orders, assist department with expense processing, verify and pack equipment for shipping, receive packages, ensure timely, accurate and secure shipments, coordinating incoming shipments, oversee the shipment process, manage all important shipping documents and notifications, order shipping supplies when necessary, processing inventory orders, log items that have been received/delivered, maintain and update inventory and purchase records, count stock when necessary, receive, unpack and deliver shipments and re-stock items as necessary.

Reporting and Auditing Assistant – Review weekly billable hours, review routine daily, weekly, and monthly reports for reports and alerts for abnormalities, review closed tickets for billing accuracy.

General Departmental Assistance – Help with local employee office or desk setup, others duties as assigned by the CIO.  

What is the IT Administrative Assistant schedule?

  • Monday-Friday - 8:00AM-4:00PM or 9:00AM-5:00PM


What is the pay for the IT Administrative Assistant?

  • $18.00-$20.00/hr
