Job Description

The Account Director (Director) is senior-level member of the Account Services team and works closely with the Vice President of Public Relations and President / CEO. This position is essential to the strategic and long-term growth of the firm. The Director is responsible for the maintain a high-level relationship between the agency and assigned clients as well as supporting the Vice President in managing the Account Services team. The Director will generally look after client needs through direct contact, liaison, and the marshaling of agency resources. This cross-functional role oversees and ensures coordination of efforts across all firm disciplines, including strategy, Public Relations, Creative, Media, Production, digital and social media, etc.
The Account Director's roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Day-to-day senior-level client contact and leadership of the Account Services team
- Plan and execute communications strategies designed to meet the client’s business goals and budget
- Effectively manage client projects and control resources/budgets
- Communicate project status and manage client expectations
- Provides creative, production, media, public relations , and interactive department personnel with well-documented input, support data and production materials as required; ensures that advertising strategies are clearly defined, approved by clients, and understood by the creative and media groups.
- Must have excellent time management and organizational skills
- Must be able to manage several projects simultaneously and accurately report time, billings, provide updates and meet deadlines
- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to work well collaboratively in a team environment, but must also be able to self-manage when needed
- Helps to resolve problems when they arise within client accounts
- Working closely with the Vice President to plan for and implement professional development plans for all team members

Qualifications
- At least ten years of Professional experience
- Previous agency experience strongly preferred
