Job Description
Laitram Machinery has a need for A Seafood Processors Lead.

Responsibilities:
- Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce high-quality products that meet company, certification, and regulatory requirements
- Provide workflow direction for all seafood processors while communicating performance expectations in collaboration with the production supervisor
- Translate both verbal and written documents between English and Vietnamese languages
- Coach and develop team members on productivity, quality, equipment operations, and safety procedures in collaboration with the production supervisor
- Directly perform a variety of day-to-day seafood processing procedures on production lines
- Inspect products throughout processing to identify defects and drive achievement of established quality guidelines
- Promote an environment of teamwork and continuous improvement
- Assist in training team members
- Perform other job-related duties as requested
Requirements:
- 2+ years' experience working in a production environment
- Experience working in a food processing environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of seafood processing plant operations
- Fluently bilingual in English & Vietnamese
- Ability to exhibit teamwork and self-management practices
- Experience with scheduling work and leading/coordinating employee tasks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to work overtime, flexible schedules, and weekends as required
- Ability to perform the essential functions of this position as detailed in the functional job description, including walking, standing, bending and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds
