CHILD NUTRITION TECHNICIANS-FULL TIME

Responsibilities:

Provide support to the food service program with specific responsibilities for cooking and serving food items that meet mandated nutritional requirements and /or student or school personnel requests, including but not limited to:

· Perform automated record keeping for the purpose of facilitating the accurate recording of purchases through student card or cash purchase

· Maintain facilities in a safe and sanitary condition, including food storage, preparation and serving areas including documenting food temperatures to ensure food safety

· Inventory and document food and supplies for tracking purposes and to meet State and Federal regulations

· Prepares food using standardized recipes, accurate measurements, and correct food preparation techniques, according to time schedules to meet deadlines for the purpose of meeting mandated nutritional and projected meal requirements

· Serve correct food portions using acceptable sanitation techniques in food handling, maintaining correct holding temperatures and utilizing food merchandising techniques to meet mandated nutritional requirements

· Demonstrate cooperative and supportive work practices in order to maintain a positive work environment

 Certification / Requirements:

· Ability to read and follow written instructions, schedules, recipes and other printed information 

· Possess basic math proficiency

· Possess effective written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to operate cafeteria equipment

· Must possess High School Diploma or Equivalent
