Job Description
Salary:
$ 58,578
Responsibilities:
Performs Sales & Use Tax Auditing functions and duties including but not limited to:
- Contact vendors and audit financial records, documents, and accounts to ascertain all transactions subject to sales and use tax are properly recorded
- Examine tax reports to determine that the proper taxes have been paid
- Identify vendors making taxable sales in the Parish and ensure they are in compliance with tax laws
- Assist in the collection of delinquent accounts
Certification/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting OR
- Other business degree with a minor in accounting and three (3) years of successful experience in financial reporting
- Auditing experience preferred
