Job Description
Tired of the stress and hours of fine dining service? Craving more creative input?
St James Cheese is here for you.
We are looking for a full-time friendly and customer-service oriented FOH / cheesemonger to add to our tightknit team. Job duties include:
- Enter restaurant orders into POS system efficiently and accurately
- Run orders to dine-in customers
- Manage multiple ordering platforms
- Take ownership of cheese training and personal knowledge growth - ask questions, seek answers
- Provide helpful information and service for customers purchasing cheese, charcuterie and other gourmet and locally sourced foods and products
- Provide our customers with great service
- Efficiently acknowledge and find a solution for customer concerns
- Multi-tasking
- Be responsible for food safety and responsible vendor laws
- Use free time to clean and organize the shop as needed
- Must be able to stand for a 10-hour shift and lift 50 pounds
- Be ready and willing to help out wherever is needed
- Open and close the shop
- Make cheese and charcuterie boards
Pay starts at $12/hr base, plus pooled tips (an average of $5-$10 an hour more). BENEFITS are available – 401k with employer provided match and health insurance.
