Job Description
The Museum Store at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art is seeking a part-time retail associate to provide exceptional customer service, sales, and merchandising support to the Museum Store Manager. Must be available 9:30 - 5:00 PM Saturday and Sunday (max 29 hours per week - option for both weekday and weekend shifts, also occasional evening shifts available during special events)

Job Responsibilities:
Daily Retail Operations
· Provide excellent customer service to all Museum Store visitors.
· Perform daily opening/closing procedures as established by the Museum Store Manager.
· Maintain appearance of store, including cleaning, creative merchandising and restocking
· Receive and tag merchandise in a timely manner with a high degree of accuracy.
· Maintain organization of back stock and storage areas.
· Process, pack and ship all online orders in a timely and economical manner.
· Assist with basic maintenance and updates of e-commerce site.
· Learn POS system and perform accurate cash handling duties.
· Assess customer’s needs and provide assistance with product features, and information about artists and vendors represented within the store.
· Maintain a working knowledge of current exhibitions and associated exhibition merchandise.
Requirements:
· Proficient knowledge of Microsoft operating system and programs.
· Detail oriented, task oriented, and organized.
· Comfortable lifting objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
· Comfortable with a relatively active work environment that may require walking, standing, squatting, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, etc.
· Prior experience with cash handling preferred.
· Display professional conduct and appearance at all times.
· Punctuality and dependability
