Job Description

Summary

The Senior Program Coordinator, Student Programs works with the Director of Strategic Initiatives and other staff of the Albert Lepage Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (LCEI) to coordinate Lepage Center programming, activities, and events. The Senior Program Coordinator is responsible for enhancing the student experience at the A.B. Freeman School of Business and across Tulane by playing a leading role in planning and executing high-quality entrepreneurship- and innovation-related programs and events.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Demonstrated passion for entrepreneurship and small businesses.

• Experience with entrepreneurship education in a university or college setting.

• Ability to respond to stakeholder requests and to work in a fast-paced environment that requires balancing simultaneous initiatives.

• Understanding of the unique needs of high-growth ventures, small businesses, larger corporations, and family businesses, specifically through knowledge of bank financing, angel investment, venture capital, and other approaches to capital for new ventures.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative manner.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficient computer skills and excellent working knowledge of software packages and applications applicable to responsibilities of the position.

Required Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience supporting programs for students and/or entrepreneurs.

OR

• A High School Diploma, or equivalent, and seven years of relevant experience working with student programs or programs for entrepreneurs and business communities. 

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or Graduate Degree in management or higher education administration.

• Experience coordinating student programming, supporting student-led ventures, and overseeing other high-impact educational initiatives.

Compensation Information
