Job Description

The Recruiter/Sr. Recruiter will support the day-to-day functions and strategic vision of recruiting for unclassified staff at LSUHSC-NO. The Recruiter/Sr. Recruiter is responsible for full-cycle recruiting, inclusive of sourcing, screening, conducting interviews, negotiating salary terms, debriefing, extending offers and assisting with completion of onboarding documents and requirements. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage job postings across job sites in conjunction with our applicant tracking system and work directly with hiring managers to qualify hiring needs’ specifics, develop recruiting strategies and provide managers with consultative insight into local market.
  • Conducts intake meetings with hiring managers and prepares and posts jobs to external careers site. Establishes strategic partnerships with managers and department leaders to understand position needs and effectively design company wide recruitment strategies.
  • Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of staff positions and establish strategic partnerships with business managers and department leaders to understand position needs and effectively design recruitment strategies. 
  • Conducts professional and thoughtful phone interviews that are infused with industry/role specific probing questions as the conversation/interview dictates
  • Schedule interviews by working directly with candidates and hiring managers. Coordinate travel logistics for interviewees at a manager level or high level professionals, consisting of flights, hotel and relocation information.
  • Requests timely feedback from hiring managers and coordinates post-interview debrief meetings with candidates. Identify opportunities to improve candidate experience and scheduling efficiency. Provide follow-up correspondence to candidates on recruiting status via phone and email to deliver a remarkable candidate experience.
  • Assists with completion of onboarding documents and requirements, including I-9/E-Verify and scheduling pre-employment drug screening.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Required Education: Bachelor's
  • Minimum years of experience required to do the job: 3 years for Recruiter or 5 years for Sr. Recruiter
  • Recruiting or related Human Resources experience required
