Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) assist in providing self-care training and therapeutic treatments to residents of ICF/IID facility, working under the direction of Lead DSP, Case Manager, and programmatic staff, by performing the following duties.
- Assist residents in their homes and community, according to each client’s Individual Service Plan (ISP).
- Assist residents in all areas of daily living which may include: bathing, dressing, toileting, cooking, cleaning, and grooming.
- Actively engage with residents throughout the shift to provide support, leadership, and camaraderie.
- Monitor clients to ensure their health and safety.
- Become an approved driver to transport residents from the main campus, into the community, and other events.
- Electronically document daily events and other data as mandated by the Department of Health and Magnolia.
- Work as a team with other members of staff to help follow our Person-Centered philosophy.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
Requirements of the position:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Louisiana Driver’s License
- Proof of auto insurance
- Acceptable driving record
- At least 21 years of age

Details:
- Shift: 8 hours shifts needed round the clock, 7 days a week
- Work Location: Main campus and group homes located in Jefferson, LA
- Job Type: Full-time or part-time
- Rate of pay: $13-$15/hour for weekdays, $16-$18/hour for weekends
