Job Description
Position Description: Tales of the Cocktail Foundation is looking for a reliable and organized intern to assist the Ticketing and Marketing departments in supporting the Foundation’s mission to educate, support, and advance the global drinks industry.
The Ticketing Intern will walk away with a more profound knowledge of the day-to-day planning and overall concept of ticketing and sales. TOTCF is a fast-paced and creative work environment, and we hope to find a meticulous and passionate intern to join our team. This position is held virtually, except for the week of July 16-25, 2025.
Timeline:
- The Ticketing Intern will focus on administrative event logistics from May to July regarding the Tales of the Cocktail event. From July 20-25, the intern will be responsible for on-site troubleshooting with our Ticketing and Marketing departments.
- Ticketing Intern must be located in New Orleans, LA, for the week of Tales of the Cocktail and part of the week prior (July 16-25). NOTE: lodging is not provided or reimbursed by TOTCF.
- IMPORTANT: TOTCF Interns must be at least 21 years of age prior to July 2025 in order to participate in this internship program.
Hours & Pay:
- The anticipated hours for the Ticketing Intern position are 10-15 hours per week from May-June, and 18-20 hours per week for July 1-18; 40+ hours for the week of the event July 20-25.
- The Ticketing Intern will be compensated at a rate of $10 per hour; pay during the week of Tales of the Cocktail 2025 (July 20-25) will be $15 per hour.
Duties include:
- Help build out and test the ticketing system.
- Process complimentary tickets and passes.
- Assist with the printing, assembly, and distribution of badges in advance of TOTC2025.
- Phone and email sales, administrative duties as assigned, and assist with registration on-site.
Essential Core Position Functions & Responsibilities
- Learn and develop skills with various Foundation platforms, including but not limited to: Asana, Airtable, Google Drive, Slack, Whova.
- Administrative duties include meeting coordination, agenda preparation, note-taking, phone calls, and emails.
- Assist with registration on-site.
- Assist in additional ticketing and marketing tasks when requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Be located in New Orleans, LA, for the week of Tales of the Cocktail and part of the week prior (July 16-25) - housing is not provided or reimbursed by TOTCF.
- Must be able to work on-site at selected event and event-prep locations throughout New Orleans.
- Must have a functioning laptop.
- Knowledge of and experience with Google Drive.
- Ticketing or Events experience preferred.
