Job Description

Salary:

  • $63,00-$84,840

Work Duration:

  • 183 Days
  • 9 Months
  • 7.5 Hours/Day

Responsibilities:

  • Setting rigorous yet appropriate learning outcomes
  • Establish supportive relationships with students
  • Engage students in meaningful, developmentally appropriate, real world discussions and learning activities
  • Develop authentic and aligned assessments to measure student growth and inform instructional decisions, especially pertaining to students with special needs
  • Develop plans (IEPs, behavior plans, service plans etc.) that are data based and support the growth and development of students
  • Collaboratively work with team to fulfill the mission, vision and beliefs of both the school and the district

Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science degree 
  • Louisiana teaching certificate with certification in Early Interventionist preferred or Mild/Moderate 1-12
  • Type A, B or C -  or -  Level 1, 2 or 3 certificate
  • Experience in creating and implementing  Behavior Intervention Plans 
  • Knowledge in the area of instructional methodologies for students with disabilities and Bulletins 1706 / 1508
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders
