Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the instructional program with specific responsibilities for performing clerical functions related to collection, processing, circulation, maintenance and inventory of library materials, including but not limited to:
  • Implement age appropriate programs for students utilizing library resources and selecting appropriate items in support of classroom instruction
  • Perform routine maintenance and operating checks on media equipment to ensure availability of equipment for school site use
  • Perform circulation activities in order to control the use, location and availability of items in the collection
  • Prepares electronic and manual reports (collection statistics, scheduling reports, renewal information, overdue lists/fines) to provide documentation and information to others
  • Processes new student library cards, notices of missing materials, damaged or overdue books and media materials in order to secure reimbursement for losses


Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent -OR- possess an Associate's Degree
  • Two years' experience with word processing, use of computers, and general office procedures
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and time lines simultaneously
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently perform multiple forms of data entry using various computer applications
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders
  • Successful experience working with students preferred
