Job Description

IT SECURITY ANALYST SENIOR

Work Schedule after required training period!                           

·         Three days remote after training period

·         Two days on site

 

The incumbent works to safeguard computer assets by establishing and enforcing system access controls. The scope of activities includes working with technical and support teams for the security administration of LSU Health New Orleans network infrastructure utilizing firewalls, VPNs, network intrusion, vulnerability scanning, multifactor authentication, mobile device management, and forensics investigations tools. The level of IT Analyst will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications.

Job Duties:

Active Directory – Design Microsoft Active Directory Forest and domain infrastructure. Deploy and manage domain controllers. Manage LDAP authentication for 3rd party applications. Authorize and manage DHCP servers. Coordinate all upgrades. Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for Active Directory. Manage Exchange mailboxes, contacts, distribution groups, and shared resources including setting permissions, etc.

Server Management – Responsible for managing various servers including Enterprise CA, Active Directory domain controllers, Network Policy Services (RADIUS), Splunk, Nessus, and Varonis.

Firewall/VPN/SSLVPN/Threat Prevention – Design, deploy, and administer systems that monitor computer networks for security threats or unauthorized users. Identify compromised machines and report on security measures taken to address threats. Analyze security risk and develop response procedures. Develop and test software deployment tools, firewalls, IPSec VPNs, SSLVPN and threat prevention. Provide on-call support outside business hours.

Create, maintain, and update a catalogue of IT Security policies and procedures to comply with LSU systemwide requirements as well meeting those of internal audits and compliance.

Cloud Services – Design, deploy, and administer Microsoft Azure Tenant and Azure Services including Azure Active Directory, Active Directory Federation Services, Azure AD Connect, Office 364, and SharePoint Online.

Deploy, maintain, and configure threat monitoring applications like Splunk, Varonis, or Sentinel.

Multi-factor Authentication – Deploy, configure, and administer Duo multi-factor authentication solution and Microsoft MFA.

 

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year institution.  Must have three to ten years relevant work experience.
