Essential Functions: 

The Certified Athletic Trainer is responsible for the care of injured athletes. Assesses, treats, instructs athletes with movement dysfunction and physical disability caused by pain or injury under the direction of a physician. Administers immediate first aid care and develops a treatment program based on the nature of the injury, including follow-up with a physician when appropriate. Communicates health care information with the athlete, caregiver, coach, school administrator, sports medicine management team, and physician as necessary. The Certified Athletic Trainer will be responsible for any other assigned job duties and will be asked to demonstrate actions with LCMC’s Values and Mission   


 Job Qualifications:    

  • Experience- 1 year experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer preferred. 
  • Education- Bachelors Degree required; Masters Degree preferred. 
  • Licensure- National BOC Certified Athletic Trainer required, State Licensed Athletic Trainer through LSBME required, Basic Life Support from American Heart Association (CPR) required.
