Job Description
We are looking for a responsible part-time employee to assist in daily operations at Joli Mélange Co. You will work on a one-to-one basis on a variety of tasks related to manager’s working life and communication. Flexible schedule with competitive pay rates based on experience and results. We do offer pay raises and do have quarterly assessments.
Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License that is unexpired and in good standing
- Reliable transportation (truck preferred but not required)
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must know how to use basic tools (hammer, drill, screwdriver, level, etc.)
- Reliable and dependable
- Flexible schedule
- Integrity and work ethic
- Be a team player but also be able to work alone without being micromanaged
- Good listening skills and able to follow directions
- Motivated, organized, responsible, creative
- Experience in remodeling, construction, craftsmanship or have interest in learning the trade
Responsibilities:
- Act as the point of contact between the manager and internal/external clients & colleagues
- Run errands, pick up material, tools & drop-off
- Handle requests and queries appropriately
- Check on properties, handyman repairs
- Assist colleagues as needed with tools & materials
- Clean work areas/ job site
- Expect to work outdoors at times and in all types of weather
- Stay focused and off your phone while working
- Organize supplies, yard work, change air filters, minor maintenance checks (check door knobs, windows/doors locked, routine checks, etc.)
Skills:
- Proven work experience as a personal assistant. Experience in construction is not required but a plus.
- Problem solving skills and efficient decision maker
- Solid organizational and time management skills
- Must be detail-oriented and have good verbal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload
- Excellent verbal communications skills
- Discretion, honesty and confidentiality
- High School degree or higher
- Reliable source of transportation, owning a truck is not required but a huge plus.

An example of daily operations can be from picking up supplies & materials, unloading boxes, power washing, running errands, assisting in design consultations, receiving deliveries, checking on properties, repairing small fix-its, etc. Again, these are examples.
