Kids Castle Play Area Manager


Lakeside Shopping Center is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic individual to manage the daily operations of

its Kids Castle Play Area.


PURPOSE:

Inspire, connect, and strengthen our community by enriching the lives of our children today and expanding their

capacity to shape their future. Engage families, caregivers, and teachers with children eight years and under in

active play and learning experiences and environments that spar their curiosity, explore their interests, foster their

potential and nourish a sense of belonging.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Know and enforce the safety standards and policies of the Kids Castle

- Ability to engage in active play with the children

- Organize employee schedules

- Organize daily play area guest appointments

- Monitor and evaluate employee performance

- Maintain the play area, including cleaning and ordering necessary supplies

- Present a clean, well-maintained environment for guests

- Administrative duties

- Foster team commitment through support, relationship building, and recognize staff members on their

individual successes

- Train staff members to greet/interact with guest in a positive, welcoming manner which will in turn build

guest relationships and create guest loyalty

- Flexibility to assume additional duties from time to time

- Plan a monthly activity calendar including art, sensory and music classes

- Manage all playtimes and classes using Eventbrite and Squarespace

- Manage and schedule private weekend birthday parties

o Communicate with guests regarding details about what is provided

o Answer guests’ questions leading up to and on day of event

o Determine team member assigned to each private party booking


SKILLS:

- Enjoy working with children

- Lesson planning

- Teaching experience

- Knowledge and understanding of child development

- Communication abilities

- Problem solving

- Customer service

- Proficient in Microsoft Office


SCHEDULE:

- Full time position

- Ability to work weekends


EXPERIENCE:

- Requires 1 year of experience in similar environments such as camp programs or similar programs involving

children. Early Childhood Education is recommended. Other experience may be considered appropriate in lieu of

the aforementioned.

Salary will be based on experience. Applicants will be subject to a background check.
