Job Description
Laitram L.L.C. Information Technology Services Department has an opening for a contractor Desktop Technician, reporting to the Service Desk Supervisor. The primary responsibilities for this position include configuration, and deployment of PC systems for local and international sites.

Responsibilities:
- Work with our deployment team to use existing procedures to image and deploy desktops and laptops
- Installation of software using our SCCM Imaging system and/or manual installation
- When needed, physical installation of new equipment
- Fulfill Service Hub request for hardware, accessories, loaner devices, and IT equipment relocation
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory of equipment; Order new equipment as needed to maintain appropriate inventory levels
- Create/update configuration and deployment documentation as processes evolve
- Where possible, provide dependable and timely resolutions to end-user inquiries and issues with newly deployed equipment. Escalate issues to our Service Desk Administrators as needed
- Interface and maintain effective communication with end-users and team members
Requirements:
- High school degree or GED
- At least 1 year experience in a process driven environment
- Excellent customer services skills and ability to interface with all levels in a corporate organization
- Basic understanding of computers, laptops, and common peripherals
- Basic knowledge of a network computing environment
- Basic knowledge of using and configuring the Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office
- Be able to multi-task and prioritize assigned work according to business need
- Strong analytical skills, self-managed, and ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Warehouse and Inventory control background would be nice to have
- Previous experience using desktop/laptop imaging software would be nice to have
