Job Description

Salary:

  • $78,161-$91,794 *Salary is based on degree and years of experience

Work Duration:

  • 220 Days
  • 7.5 Hours/Day

Responsibilities:

The Program Director serves as a senior leader responsible for the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of the Lafon Performing Arts Center’s arts education and district-based programming, ensuring operational excellence while advancing educational impact in alignment with the Center’s mission.

  • Plans, administers, and evaluates logistics for all district arts programs based at the Lafon Arts Center, including district-level events and collaborations
  • Evaluates all programs and production operations, ensuring alignment with mission, educational outcomes, and artistic vision
  • Collaborates with Center staff and district arts educators to ensure cohesive planning and successful execution of programs and events
  • Oversees hospitality and company management for visiting artists
  • Provides direct support for district arts teachers during production times, ensuring that program coordinators are staffed to support rehearsals and productions

Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Theatre, Technical Theatre, Arts Administration, Education, or a related field OR minimum three (3) years of related theatrical management experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years of leadership experience in education, arts education, and/or the performing arts industry.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
