Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION: The FQF Donation Team (10 paid crew members with volunteers to assist in shifts) will be stationed throughout major festival sites to solicit donations from festival-goers. Donation Crew will be responsible for driving donation conversions via an online form or cash collection boxes. All Donation Crew will be required to manage, train and effectively activate volunteers. Donation Crew may be assigned to work in pairs or asked to work solo with the assistance of volunteers.


Ideal candidates will be:


● Outgoing, friendly and upbeat

● Passionate about community initiatives and support for the arts

● Comfortable standing / being on their feet / moving around for long durations (breaks will be provided, but this is an active role, not seated)

● Creative and goal-oriented

● Comfortable with using a digital point-of-sale system (as needed, with advance training)


Requirements:


● Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills

● Ability to delegate and direct colleagues

● Independent decision making

● Attention to detail


Donation Crew will be asked to work closely with other crew members and production partners, including Gates Crew, private security, and NOPD.

Donation Crew may be privy to private and confidential material and/or personal donor information and is expected to act professionally and remain confidential in all matters.


Location Assignments (approximate):


1. Canal St. Entrance / Aquarium Plaza (Site: Goldring Woldenberg Riverfront Park)

2. Conti St. Entrance / Berger Lawn (Site: Goldring Woldenberg Riverfront Park)

3. Governor Nicholls Wharf (Site: Goldring Woldenberg Riverfront Park)

4. Jax Brewery Parking Lot

5. Jackson Square

6. New Orleans Jazz Museum


Dates: Thurs. April 16 through Sun. April 19 (4 days)


● Time (APPROXIMATE):

○ Thursday: 9:30am – 8:30pm

○ Friday – Sunday: 10am – 8:30pm


● Crew members will also be required to attend one pre-festival all-crew operations meeting (in person, approx. 1.5 hrs) and one pre-festival Donation Team training (virtual, approximately 45 mins)

Department: Development, Reporting to FQFI Development Director

Compensation: $250 Per Event Day x 4 days = $1,000 flat rate. Potential for $100 performance-based bonus. 1099 contractor position. $33 per day of food tickets and parking (if needed) also provided.
