This role facilitates hands -on learning experiences, assists with event logistics, and provides instructional support to students and community participants to en sure high -quality outreach experiences. * * * QUALIFICATIONS: * * * Required: High School Diploma or GED ; Ability to follow instructional plans and assist with delivering lessons ; Ability to manage tasks and maintain accurate documentation ; Ability to work with various student and community populations ; Ability to travel (up to 200 miles) regionally and work occasional evenings/weekends for events ; Valid driver’s license and Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Ability to operate NTCC’s Mobile STEM Lab vehicle ; Basic computer and technology skills (email, projectors, digital tools, etc.). * * * Preferred: Experience in education, community /STEM outreach, youth programming, and/or event coordination * * * RESPONSIBILITIES : * * * • Instructional Support & Facilitation o Lead or assist with hands -on instructional activities, demonstrations, workshops and STEM /educational learning experiences during outreach events using NTCC’s Mobile Labs and campus resources * * * Manager o Deliver engaging, age -appropriate lessons as determined by the Outreach Program o Ensure participants understand safety guidelines, procedures, and expectations o Create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive learning environment o Support equipment upkeep and routine maintenance as needed * * * • Program/ Event Support o Travel (up to 200 miles) regionally and possession of valid driver’s licensing o Assist with the development of engaging content, presentations, and hands -on learning experiences o Provide input on new instructional ideas, outreach initiatives, and program content o Help prepare outreach materials, instructional supplies, and equipment o Support event setup, breakdown, registration, and participant engagement o Assist in ensuring all activities run smoothly and follow established procedures o Participate in required training and professional development * * * • Student & Community Engagement o Provide guidance, encouragement, and instructional support to students and community participants o Assist in directing guests, answering questions, and sharing program information o Support special populations and refer participants to appropriate staff when needed o Maintain a positive and respectful outreach environmen t * * * • College & Community Representation o Represent the college professionally during school visits, workshops, community events, and career fairs o Strengthen community partnerships through positive engagement, program promotion and communication * * * • Perform other related duties as assigned * * * SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * * * Skills: • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills • Excellent writing and presentation skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Experience in developing and implementing outreach strategies • Ability to work flexibly and on short notice to meet deadlines * * * Software Used : A variety of word -processing, spreadsheet, database, e -mail, presentation and computer software. * * * Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Field travel will be required and may include standing for long periods of time at outreach events. * * * Work Environment: The work environment will depend on the discipline being taught as the College strives to provide hands -on experience to students.
