Job Description
The Program Manager is a full-time professional position providing high-level support and administrative responsibilities office of the Vice President for Advancement. This role will manage the day-to-day operations of the office and involves but is not limited to: scheduling and calendar management; drafting/editing/handling correspondence; briefing and preparing for meeting and Advancement related activities involving the Vice President; and drive and complete any special projects as directed by the Vice President. In addition, the Program Manager will be responsible for the managing the School of Medicine Board of Governor’s as well as the Health Sciences Committee of the Board of Tulane. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to meet the needs in a high-profile setting. This position will be the central point of coordination for the office of Campaigns and Administration and will work directly with all units reporting into the office as well as high-level leaders within and outside of Advancement.
Minimum Education
- Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years’ experience in fundraising, project management, or a related field OR
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years’ directly related experience.
Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a research university environment.
- Commitment to the values of an institution of higher education.
- Knowledge of various software systems, such as Word, Excel, and a prospect management database.
