Job Description
Under direct supervision, performs high complexity analysis and procedures specific to the laboratory (biochemical, molecular, cytogenetic); operates and maintains laboratory equipment needed to perform daily duties; increase productivity and maintain proficiency in the wet lab and analysis sections; Continue to gain knowledge appropriate to laboratory (biochemical, molecular, cytogenetic); adhere to laboratory policies for safety, conduct, and performance; participate in continuing education.
Minimum Education
Trainee:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or a related field
- One (1) year laboratory experience or science related coursework
- LA State licensed or eligible
Technologist I:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or a related field
- Minimum one (1) year laboratory experience or science related coursework
- ASCP certification of other equivalent board certification or eligible
- LA State licensed or eligible
