Your Role: Manager of Engineering Services

The Manager of Engineering Services will

What You’ll Do

  • Identify proper protection and control schemes for transmission and distribution substations, based on standards and client’s expectations.
  • Select proper protection devices for equipment within a substation.
  • Prepare scopes of work and estimates for evaluating and designing substations, both physical and protection and control.
  • Identify proper equipment sizing and selection and prepare specifications.
  • Prepare specification for labor erection.
  • Ensure the maintenance and adherence of customer standards as it pertains to relay protection.
  • Create drawing packages for substation relay protection that include wiring diagrams, schematics, protection panels, one-line, and three-line diagrams and substation physical drawings that include site plan, plan view sections, conduit and plan, grounding plan, and cable conduit schedules.
  • Interface with clients and vendors.
  • Perform load calculations for load panels, battery systems, voltage drop, and other various substation components.
  • Business Development.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or closely related engineering field.
  • 6 years of engineering experience involving supervisory or leadership experience. The stated 6 years of experience must include:
    • Using design and analysis software and tools such as SCADA, automation, relay settings, RTU configuration, substation physical electrical design, and Protection & Controls engineering terms and concepts.
    • Working with the power and/or tech industry.
  • Must have a PE license. Alternatively, we will accept a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a closely related engineering field and 10 years of the stated experience in lieu of the 6 years of experience and a PE license. Must be willing to travel 5%-10% of the year within the United States, as required by the individual project.
