The Neuroscience Center of Excellence in the LSU School of Medicine is seeking applicants with an MD, MD/PhD, or PhD degree and with an established record of innovative research on:

• Neurodegenerative diseases
• Parkinson’s disease
• ALS-FTD
• Multiple sclerosis
• Stroke/vascular/Alzheimer’s dementia
• Traumatic brain injury
• Related neurological disorders, including translational approaches.

Primary academic department will be to an appropriate department; rank and track to be determined by qualifications.

Successful candidates are expected to have an established, nationally recognized, competitively funded research program (NIH R01 or equivalent) and demonstrate the potential to continue that path. They will be expected to participate in graduate/medical student education and mentoring. Depending on their research focus, recruited faculty members will be jointly appointed in a clinical department.

Qualified candidates will be offered support commensurate with their experience. The Neuroscience Center of Excellence, School of Medicine, LSU Health New Orleans, is home to 16 independent neuroscience teams.
