Reporting to the Department Head of Neurology and the Associate Dean for Fiscal Affairs, incumbent is responsible for managing all fiscal and administrative matters of the department in an independent manner.

The Business Manager is responsible for maintaining the fiscal integrity of the departments; this includes but is not limited to ensuring that all expenditures are within budgets and available sources of funding. Incumbent will educate the faculty on funds management and will be responsible for implementing and adhering to all relevant rules, regulations and procedures as they relate to the administrative and financial operations of the department.

This position is for the Department of Neurology of the School of Medicine.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Preparation and management of department budget
• Preparation of business plans
• Financial analysis
• Management of grants and contracts
• Oversight of hiring, onboarding and other personnel processes
• Strategic planning and business/program development
• Monitoring of clinical billing and collections
• Oversight of all purchasing and supply chain management activities within the department.
