Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with instructional staff, other school personnel, parents and a variety of community partners to improve the overall quality of student outcomes and achieve established classroom objectives in support of Head Start goals
  • Coordinates with disability experts and adapts classroom work to provide children with instructional materials that address individualized learning plans
  • Administers developmental testing programs, subject specific assessments, etc. to assess students' competency levels and/or develop individual development plans
  • Advise parents/guardians of students' progress to communicate expectations, achievements and developing methods for improvement and/or reinforcing classroom goals in the home environment

Requirements:

  • Possess an Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or willing to obtain within (1) year
  • One or more years of experience working with children in an early childhood program (Birth to 5 years of age)
  • Twenty-one years of age or older
  • Successful clearance of CCCBC, pre-employment physical and cleared tuberculosis test is required
  • Possess a First Aid, and Child and Adult CPR Certificate or willing to obtain within (1) year
