Job Description

The Department Chair for Information Technology leads, oversees, and supports IT instructional faculty across assigned campuses. This position ensures high-quality instruction, strong certification preparation, and alignment with current IT industry standards.

The chair provides leadership in:

  • Curriculum development
  • Instructional quality
  • Faculty supervision
  • Program coordination

Emphasis is placed on preparing students for industry-recognized CompTIA certifications and ensuring effective use of TestOut labs and training resources.

The Department Chair is responsible for:

  • Coordinating instructional activities
  • Guiding faculty
  • Updating curriculum to reflect emerging technologies
  • Supporting student success across IT programs.
