TIME FRAME: This is a short term, seasonal position.

April 6 to May 8, 2026

POSITION SUMMARY:

Assist the Decorator in installing décor across various areas of the Festival, including the Gospel Tent, Food Heritage Stage, Grandstand exhibit space, Jazz Tent, VIP areas (including new cabanas & GA+ tent), Artist hospitality tents, and any other areas requiring décor.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Collaborate in decorating Festival areas using fabrics, plants, and other décor elements.
• Assist in dressing the Jazz Stage, including swagging backdrop fabrics.
• Support dressing VIP and Press areas.
• Assist in dressing the Food Heritage Stage with fabrics and other décor elements.
• Aid in dressing the GA+ tent and cabanas with swag, photos, banners, and necessary props.
• Participate in installing stage skirts throughout the site.
• Maintain responsibility for all tools used during the job.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ensure accurate reporting of absenteeism using the Absentee Request Form.
• Uphold confidentiality regarding sensitive matters.
• Attend and complete any required training sessions.
• Any intellectual property created for the Jazz Festival belongs to the Festival and must be surrendered through your supervisor or department head at the end of each production year or upon request.
• Complete all required Feedback Forms and Final Reports.
• Perform all assigned work-related duties.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Minimum high school education required.
• Experience in decorating, installation, and design.
• Proficiency in using hand tools such as a screw gun.
• Ability to work with both hands while elevated on a ladder, scissor lift, or scaffold.
• Strong communication skills, ability to collaborate, and follow directions.
• Endurance for long hours in an active, potentially stressful production setting.
• Capability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
