Job Description
The Laboratory Technician I performs tests on a variety of materials in the laboratory to ensure compliance with various requirements, plans, specifications, and contracts; and keeps written records and reports of activities. Lab Technician I are under close supervision and given detailed instructions on routine, testing samples such as soils and aggregates.
The Laboratory Technician II performs tests on a variety of materials (soils, aggregates, asphalt, concrete, etc.) in the laboratory to ensure compliance with various requirements, plans, specifications, and contracts; and keeps written records and reports of activities. The Lab Technician II is expected to perform more increasingly difficult assignments than a Lab Technician I.
Experience preferred, but not required.
