About the Role

We’re looking for a logical, process-driven AI Workflow Engineer to bridge the gap between manual operations and intelligent automation.

This isn’t just “connecting apps.” You’ll architect and maintain the workflow layer that powers how our systems communicate—LLMs, databases, CRMs, internal tools, and team workflows—so we can eliminate bottlenecks and scale fast.

The Mission

Turn complex business requirements into reliable, automated workflows. You’ll spend your days mapping logic, debugging API calls, and ensuring our AI agents are talking to our databases (and each other) cleanly and efficiently.

What You’ll Do

Workflow Architecture

• Design and implement end-to-end automations in n8n and/or Zapier
• Build multi-step workflows with branching, retries, alerts, and fallbacks
• Document workflows so others can maintain and iterate

LLM + Agent Integration

• Integrate LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) into production workflows for:
• • structured data extraction
  • summarization and content drafting
  • classification and routing decisions
• Add guardrails: schema formatting, validation, and prompt/output constraints

APIs, Webhooks, and Data Plumbing

• Work hands-on with REST APIs, OAuth/API keys, and webhooks
• Sync data across our stack (CRM, database, ticketing, comms tools)
• Transform and normalize data (JSON mapping, reconciliation, deduping)

Troubleshooting + Reliability

• Debug failures: payload mismatches, rate limits, timeouts, broken branching logic
• Set up monitoring/logging and error notifications
• Improve resilience with safe re-runs and idempotent design when needed

Optimization

• Audit workflows for speed, cost, and “token efficiency”
• Reduce redundant calls and unnecessary LLM usage
• Build reusable modules/components to accelerate future automations

What We’re Looking For

Required: Technical training

• You’ve completed a coding bootcamp or equivalent technical training (or have comparable hands-on experience building real systems)
• You’re fluent in data structures and payloads (arrays, objects, JSON) and logic patterns (if/then, branching, loops, error handling)

Workflow automation builder

• Strong experience with n8n and/or Zapier (multi-step flows, complex nodes, custom code blocks)
• You can build from scratch and also untangle messy legacy workflows

Technically grounded

• Comfort reading API docs and working with real-world constraints
• Basic JavaScript or Python for custom workflow steps/scripts

Practical problem-solver

• You don’t just follow tutorials—you can look at a broken process and reason your way to the fix

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with RAG / vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector, Chroma, etc.)
• Experience with databases and schema design (Postgres/Airtable/Notion-like systems)
• Experience with observability, queueing, and rate-limiting strategies
