Split Second Foundation is a New Orleans–based nonprofit organization dedicated to improving quality of life for individuals living with disabilities, neurological injuries, and chronic health conditions. Through innovative, community-centered programs, we bridge the gap between traditional rehabilitation and long-term independence.

Our work is anchored by Split Second Fitness, a specialized adaptive fitness and wellness facility that serves individuals with conditions such as spinal cord injury, stroke, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, cerebral palsy, amputations, and other complex medical needs. We provide evidence-informed programming that blends rehabilitation principles with adaptive fitness, wellness, education, and resource navigation in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Split Second Foundation is known for its continuum-of-care approach, supporting clients as they transition from inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation into sustained wellness and community engagement. We collaborate closely with healthcare systems, universities, and community partners, and we are actively expanding our clinical capacity through the development of a Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Facility (CORF).

As an employer, Split Second Foundation offers a mission-driven, entrepreneurial work environment where staff are encouraged to grow professionally, think creatively, and contribute meaningfully to the lives of others. Our team includes clinicians, adaptive fitness professionals, students, and advocates who are passionate about disability inclusion, access, and innovation in care delivery.

We are committed to building a diverse, compassionate, and skilled workforce that reflects the community we serve.
