Job Description

We are an Auto Title Company / Public Tag Agency located in Metairie, Louisiana, seeking an experienced Auto Title & Public Tag Agency Specialist to join our team. This position is ideal for a highly knowledgeable professional who can manage day-to-day operations with minimal supervision and provide exceptional service to customers.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong working knowledge of Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles (OMV) procedures and be capable of independently handling a full range of motor vehicle and vessel transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process vehicle titles and registrations (including transfers, duplicates, corrections, and lien work)
  • Handle driver’s license transactions in accordance with OMV guidelines
  • Process boat and trailer registrations
  • Issue temporary tags, license plates, and decals
  • Manage renewals for registrations and plates
  • Review documents for accuracy and compliance with Louisiana OMV regulations
  • Collect and reconcile payments, fees, and documentation
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding requirements and timelines
  • Maintain organized and accurate records in compliance with OMV and agency policies
  • Assist with general office operations as needed

Qualifications & Experience

  • Prior experience working in a Louisiana public tag agency or OMV-related role is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to process transactions independently with little to no training
  • In-depth knowledge of Louisiana motor vehicle and vessel documentation requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple transactions efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Louisiana Notary Public commission is a plus, but not required
