Job Description
We are an Auto Title Company / Public Tag Agency located in Metairie, Louisiana, seeking an experienced Auto Title & Public Tag Agency Specialist to join our team. This position is ideal for a highly knowledgeable professional who can manage day-to-day operations with minimal supervision and provide exceptional service to customers.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong working knowledge of Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles (OMV) procedures and be capable of independently handling a full range of motor vehicle and vessel transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Process vehicle titles and registrations (including transfers, duplicates, corrections, and lien work)
- Handle driver’s license transactions in accordance with OMV guidelines
- Process boat and trailer registrations
- Issue temporary tags, license plates, and decals
- Manage renewals for registrations and plates
- Review documents for accuracy and compliance with Louisiana OMV regulations
- Collect and reconcile payments, fees, and documentation
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding requirements and timelines
- Maintain organized and accurate records in compliance with OMV and agency policies
- Assist with general office operations as needed
Qualifications & Experience
- Prior experience working in a Louisiana public tag agency or OMV-related role is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to process transactions independently with little to no training
- In-depth knowledge of Louisiana motor vehicle and vessel documentation requirements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple transactions efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Louisiana Notary Public commission is a plus, but not required
