Job Description

$20.00 per hour

TIME FRAME: This is a short term, seasonal position.

March 30 to May 15, 2026 (FULL TIME)

Interviews for this position will be held on Saturday, February 21.


POSITION SUMMARY:

Assist the Plumbing Coordinator and Plumbers as directed in the installation and maintenance of temporary sewerage and water distribution for the Heritage Fair.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Hook up water and holding tanks to all trailers.
  • Install sinks, hot water heaters, holding tanks, and water lines for field kitchens.
  • Set up public drinking fountains.
  • Maintain all systems throughout the event.
  • Dismantle, inventory, and store all equipment.
  • Perform all tasks in compliance with OSHA and Jazz Festival safety guidelines.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Utilize the Absentee Request Form to accurately report absenteeism to the Festival Finance Office.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive issues.
  • Submit any document, computer program, design, or intellectual property created for the Jazz Festival (belonging to the Jazz Festival) to the Festival through your supervisor or department head at the end of each production year or upon request.
  • Attend and complete any required training.
  • Complete all required Feedback Forms and Final Reports.
  • Perform any other work-related duties as assigned


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Working knowledge of plumbing equipment, parts, tools, and installation.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and strenuous physical exertion.
  • Endurance for long hours in an active, stressful production setting with the capacity to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
