Your Role: Assistant Project Manager

As an Assistant Project Manager, you’ll be an essential part of our Project Management teams, supporting the delivery of multiple high-impact projects. You’ll collaborate closely with Project and Program Managers, providing both technical and administrative support to ensure smooth project execution. From coordinating project milestones to managing essential documentation, you’ll be at the heart of our project operations.

What You’ll Do
  • Collaborate with Project and Program Managers to ensure project deliverables are met on time and within budget
  • Work closely with internal departmental and engineering teams to track and assess project progress
  • Collect data from engineers, project controls, and procurement to provide comprehensive project status reports on a weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly basis
  • Organize and manage project meetings, ensuring that action items are captured and followed up
  • Maintain and manage key project deliverables such as the Action Item List, Communication Plan, Contact List, and Risk Register
  • Analyze contracts to determine project scope, deliverables, milestones, and permit requirements
  • Assist in the development and processing of change orders for projects
  • Obtain subcontractor documentation (e.g., insurance, bonds, change orders) and maintain subcontractor proposals
  • Coordinate with Construction and Procurement teams to ensure that all materials, PPE, and documentation are ready before project mobilization
  • Travel occasionally to project sites with appropriate PPE to ensure project milestones are being met
  • Schedule subcontractor meetings during construction, maintaining the 3-week lookahead schedule and providing updates for Project Managers
  • Gather necessary project documentation required for project closeout
  • Assist Project Managers with Substantial and Final Completion Letters
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred
  • Relevant experience in project support roles, preferably within the utility or energy sector
  • Experience with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) projects is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and time management abilities
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for collaboration and team support
  • Knowledge of project management software and experience with OSHA certifications are a plus
  • Masterful at managing to deadlines and budgets while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills related to project progress, budgets, and schedules

Benefits

Salary Range: \$58,000 - Commensurate (dependent on experience, education, and qualifications)
