Job Description

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE Provides general office support and performs clerical duties such as routine typing, filing, answering phones, copying, and collating materials.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs administrative duties within the department as may be required.
  • Performs data entry associated with specific work functions within the department such as time entry for multiple construction projects, invoice processing, work request job scheduling and closing.
  • Provides project assistance as directed by the department leadership.
  • Records Management Custodian responsibilities including file maintenance, reporting and compliance to internal and regulatory required records retention policies.
  • Assists in coordination of workplace safety audits and preparing associated reports. Assists in preparation of safety materials, budget requirements, and gathering relevant information. Assists in coordination of the on-boarding process and maintains employee training records and files.
  • Must be willing to assume a storm restoration role and travel if necessary.

  • Clerk-Specialty I - 0-2 years of minimum experience
  • Clerk-Specialty II - 2-4 years of minimum experience
  • Clerk-Specialty III - 4-6 years of minimum experience
  • Clerk-Specialty Sr. 6+ years of minimum experience

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, Entergy Corporate applications (DSS, DIS, CTS, Indus, Earl, Pearl, VEA, ECOS, Service Suite, AM/FM DFM & Time and Labor. Must be familiar with CCS. Familiar will all company policies and procedures. Possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral with internal and external customers. Willing to work extended hours as needed. Self-starter with high initiative, willingness to learn new processes. Excellent multitasking and team working capability a must.

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position May require certification and/or license as required for specific positions.

Additional Responsibilities: As a provider of essential services, Entergy expects its employees to be available to work additional hours, to work in alternate locations, and/or to perform additional duties in connection with storms, outages, emergencies, or other situations as deemed necessary by the company. Exempt employees may not be paid overtime associated with such duties.
