Job Description

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Responsible for the line and service operations of the Network operations. Interfaces with a number of operational, customer service and financial functions in the execution of their daily activities.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing safety, service requests, outage restoration, reliability improvement, leading out of town storm teams, responding to Customer Issue Resolution complaints, resolving executive and utility commission complaints and managing network spending, interfacing with the Customer Service Manager to provide support in the local community.
  • Conducting safety observations in the field.
  • Training and development of all employees to insure that they are qualified to perform the work they are assigned.
  • Setting and communicating aggressive performance expectations, learning/teaching process improvements, measuring/monitoring performance levels, providing feedback and coaching performance improvements to employees.
  • Schedule, assign and monitor work of Entergy construction crews and contract crews.
  • Ensure all work meets company standards, in-service dates and cost estimates.
  • Work with Engineering and Contracts in preparing bid packages, when required.
  • Assign, commit and close out construction jobs in DIS.
  • Verification of completed work assignments and preparation of related invoices.
  • Read and interpret construction prints.
  • Attend pre-design and conduct post-construction meetings.
