Job Description

Salary:

  • $63,000-$84,840

Work Duration

  • 183 Days
  • 7.5 hours per day
  • 9 Months

Responsibilities:

  • Setting rigorous yet appropriate learning outcomes
  • Establish supportive relationships with students
  • Engage students in meaningful, developmentally appropriate, real world discussions and learning activities
  • Develop authentic and aligned assessments to measure student growth to inform instructional decisions, especially pertaining to students with special needs
  • Develop plans (IEPs, behavior plans, service plans etc… ) that are data-based and support the growth and development of students
  • Collaboratively work with the team to fulfill the mission, vision and beliefs of both the school and the District

Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science degree
  • Louisiana teaching certificate with certification in mild moderate at either the elementary 1-5 or 1-12 levels
  • Type A, B or C - or - Level 1, 2 or 3
  • Experience in creating and implementing Behavior Intervention Plans
  • Knowledge in the area of instructional methodologies for students with disabilities and Bulletins 1706 / 1508
  • Previous experience in assuming leadership roles at the school and district level PREFERRED
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders
