Job Description
This candidate should be highly skilled and experienced Wireless Communications Engineer with a strong background in telecommunications, particularly in In-Building Cellular and Public Safety Radio Distributed Antenna Systems. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in project design and development activities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead the selection of production hardware for projects.
- Develop and validate RF designs using iBwave software.
- Review and approve construction drawings, including system block diagrams, wiring diagrams, rack elevations, and conduit/cable routing drawings.
- Prepare and approve product specifications and related documentation.
- Write scope of work documents and equipment purchase specifications.
- Interface with the major wireless network operators and clients throughout the project life cycle.
- Review vendor data sheets to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Lead and manage teams of Engineers, Designers, and Drafters.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Exceptional collaboration, interpersonal, and client engagement skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven experience in RF design development and validation.
- Proficiency in iBwave software.
- Experience with Sweep, PIM and CW testing and system troubleshooting is preferred
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing engineering teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (B.S.E.E.), preferred.
- 5-10 years of experience in wireless communications, with a focus on In-Building Cellular and Public Safety Radio Distributed Antenna Systems, required.
- Willingness to travel throughout the Southeast United States, required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
