Job Description
- Perform all types of Meter Services work, including:
- Electric (and/or gas where applicable) turn on, turn off, removals, installs, change outs, rereads, reconnects, tampering, etc.
- Responsible for working mainly three-phase meters on residential and commercial accounts.
- Perform disconnects on residential and commercial accounts due to non-payment of bill.
- Install and remove different types of locks for tampering prevention.
- Must render excellent customer service in a professional manner while handling customers in the field.
- Flexibility to work irregular or extended hours as required.
- Position requires the ability to work outside in all types of weather, in unusual surroundings as well as normal conditions.
- Must be available for call outs.
- Be fully capable of performing other related tasks as assigned.
- Complete daily work tickets through the Mobile Data system.
- Assist in storm restoration efforts as needed.
- Know and practice Entergy's applicable safety rules and safe work procedures at all times.
- Attend and participate in monthly safety meetings.
